4M Research is currently seeking experienced Field Support Representative (FSR) for CONUS defense work at the Red River Army Depot in Texarkana, TX. 

At the direction of the Sr. FSR/FIM, the FSR will oversee the installation, de-installation, basic troubleshooting and fault isolation, and maintenance repairs as needed. Maintain accurate inventory of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Government Furnished Materials (GFM).

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Serving as technical expert performing technical inspections, repairs, maintenance and retrofits to the MaxxPro Dash.
  • Providing technical guidance to other personnel ensuring conformance to task requirements, specifications and standards.
  • Providing advanced diagnostics/fault isolation and maintenance repair assistance.
  • Conducting technical inspections
  • Properly and accurately completing DD form 2404 including using technical manuals to identify part numbers and NSNs.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues and determines appropriate repair.
  • Executing scope of responsibility in accordance with work instructions, specifications, standards and process controls.
  • Completing all process documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety objectives and policies.
  • FSRs shall conduct technical inspections of the MaxxPro Dash vehicles and document technical inspection findings in the DD 2404 form IAW AR 750-1.
  • FSRs shall complete blocks 1- 3 of the QAIP upon completion of each technical inspection
  • FSRs shall implement all Government provided and approved retrofit kits/plans based on mission requirements. Once implementation is complete, they shall report completion to the Government lead at the installation.
  • FSRs shall provide installation and repair guidance on all repairs and retrofits.
  • When directed FSRs will train Red River Army Depot (RRAD) mechanics on repairs which will include demonstrating the installation or repair to a group/team.
  • FSR shall prepare daily maintenance plans and brief lesson learned on installations of repairs.
  • FSR shall receive daily assignments from a USG maintenance lead and shall perform all tasks assigned to them.
  • FSRs shall provide MaxxPro Dash vehicle familiarity to the RESET effort team.
  • FSRs shall provide flashing and reprogramming capability to the RESET effort team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

  • Minimum of four (4) years heavy duty mechanic experience.
  • ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) level certification in vehicular and component level fault diagnostics and maintenance or certification awarded from a Military MOS producing course such as those awarded by the U.S. Army Ordnance Center and School; or a formal master Mechanic/ Level 1 certification in vehicular and component level fault diagnostics and maintenance repair awarded from an accredited Trade School or College; or State license(s) in mechanical repair
  • At least 4 years of lead mechanic experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years MaxxPro vehicle maintenance experience.
  • MRV experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated advanced diagnostics and repair skills.
  • Experienced in providing on-the-job training.
  • Class B CDL with Air Brakes endorsement is required.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs without a lifting device.
  • Ability to take directions & troubleshoot problems, sometimes under pressure.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Must be team player.
  • DoD Secret Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain an interim clearance and a fully adjudicated Secret Clearance within a reasonable timeframe, is required

FSR - Desired Skillset & Experience 

  • Experience with the installation/integration of the MaxxPro Survivability Upgrade (MSU) preferred.
  • Graduated from Navistar Defense FSR Training Academy preferred
  • Graduated from MRAP-U preferred
